Impala Racing Team

I am competitive runner (former NCAA athlete) now competing for the Impala Racing Team - a women’s only racing team based in San Francisco, CA. I also play a leadership communications role as a social media coordinator managing instagram content for the “open team” (all age groups 40 and under). I hope to communicate and show women of all ages and body types excelling in the sport that we communally love. I collaborate with 2 women, who are in charge of the “masters team” (all age groups over 40), in this effort.

Key Goals of this Platform:

  • Streamlining messaging and communications across the team

  • Highlighting achievements and accomplishments of teammates

  • Showcasing the community and fun that comes of being part of an all-womens group

  • Highlighting DEI events and runs with other community groups

Content I Create:

  • Static Posts highlighting individual atheltes or key races, tagging our team sponsors and the athletes involved

  • Instagram Reels to show the fun, spirit, and energy at our team events and practices

  • Instagram Stories to show casual team events, runs, highlights and repost content from other groups in our community

Our Pastry Performer this week however goes to an ultra lady- congrats to Bethy Ronces for running the Quad Dipsea! In her 60s, Bethy placed 5th in her age group and was out on the trails for 7 hours and 42 minutes. Fantastic job, Bethy! @janethebak
